Meet SOLVO at the following exciting Conferences!

We are happy to inform you that this week SOLVO will exhibit at the following conferences. We look forward to meeting you there!

SOLVO is the sponsor of the Hepatobiliary Satellite Meeting of the European Hepatobiliary Transport Group, to be held between August 12 to 13, 2005 in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

SOLVO's Principal Scientist, Mr. Hristos Glavinas, who is also the Head of the Department of Technology Development, will hold a presentation entitled "Comparative analysis of Human Multidrug Resistance-associated protein 2 (MRP2) and Rat Mrp2" at the meeting.

• The European Hepatobiliary Transport Group intends to foster exchange of information as well as collaborations between research groups working in the field of hepatobiliary transport of substances handled by the liver.
• The European Hepatobiliary Transport Group welcomes the participation of established research groups in the field of hepatobiliary transport as well as new groups who wish to enter this fascinating area of research.
• This will be an informal work-in-progress meeting featuring short presentations, a plenary lecture and plenty of time for discussions. Usually, each participating research group presents a project as an informal, oral short-communication.

SOLVO will exhibit at the BioMedical Transporters 2005 Conference, entitled "Membrane Transporters: Bridging Basic and Applied Sciences". The conference will be held from August 14 to 18, 2005, in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Please stop by our booth!

SOLVO's Principal Scientist, Mr. Hristos Glavinas, will hold a poster presentation entitled "New in vitro assays for the detection of the interaction of test drugs with the BCRP (ABCG2) transporter using the ATPase assay" at the conference.

• The focus of BioMedical Transporters 2005 is on membrane transporters and their applications to the treatment of human diseases.
• Specifically, the conference will address how transporters may be applied to drug discovery, how the structural information from membrane transporters can be applied to the rational design of therapeutic drugs, how to develop transporter based high throughput screening assays for drug discovery, and how transporters in various organs affect drug metabolism.
