Status in the drug development pipeline

The various phases of the drug discovery and development require different assays in terms of throughput and the depth of characterization.

High throughput membrane and cellular assays allow for inexpensive screening of large number of compounds during lead selection and optimization. Lower throughput in vitro and in vivo assays can be used in preclinical candidate selection.
