Pharmacological Barriers
SOLVO’s barrier-based approach integrates multiple assay models for the study of the major pharmacological barriers. Our goal is to develop various assays for all of the key transporters of these barriers. Besides simple membrane based assays, cellular systems and monolayer assays SOLVO is continuously expanding its portfolio with more complex ex vivo and in vivo technologies.
Descriptions of SOLVO Organ Based Solutions include a scientific overview of the most important pharmacological barriers, the list of available SOLVO assay systems and suggestions for the possible screening strategies. There can be more strategies for the research of each pharmacological barrier based on the preferred governing principle: cost efficiency, quickness, guidance of regulatory agencies, or the need for step-by-step, in depth analysis.
