In addition to the 2-day conference, we are offering an optional Workshop on 3 September. In support of our commitment to advance transporter research and knowledge, this program focuses on the most relevant and up-to-date aspects of transporter science and industry applications that can help inform drug development programs.
Piyush Bajaj, Takeda: Emerging in vitro kidney models to study drug elimination and nephrotoxicity
Choi-Fong Cho, Harvard: Blood-brain barrier organoids
Xiaoyan Chu, Merck: Dabigatran etexilate and digoxin - a comparison
Li Di, Pfizer: Protein binding methodologies and relevance for DDI - an industry perspective
Vadivel Ganapathy, Texas Tech Univ: Transporters for delivery of nanomedicines
Yutai Li, Merck: In vitro and in vivo models to study drug inflicted changes on bile acid/salt homeostasis
Jennifer Liras, Pfizer: IVIVE of key transporter activities in the BBB
Isabelle Ragueneau-Majlessi, Univ of Washington: Metabolic enzyme and transporter testing - recent New Drug Applications
David Rodrigues, Pfizer: Keynote: ADME Biomarkers: Vision and status report
Patrick T Ronaldson, Univ of Arizona: Blood-brain barrier in disease
Laurent Salphati, Genentech: Variability of oral exposure and a formulation strategy
Avner Schlessinger, Mount Sinai: ASCT2 - a drug target
John Schuetz, St Jude Children's Research Hospital: Heme/ porphyrin metabolism and transport
Manthena Varma, Pfizer: Keynote: Transporter enzyme interplay
Yan Zhang, Incyte: Epacadostat - metabolism and transport
In addition to the main conference, SOLVO will be hosting a Workshop on Tuesday, September 3 in which SOLVO scientists will provide training on the theory and practice of studying drug transporters in the lab, including in vitro methods for studying transporters, transporter study design, bioanalytics, transporter data evaluation and interpretation, and timing and application of transporter studies in drug development. Please note that this event is an optional add-on for attendees who have registered for the Transporter Conference.
